Does anyone know this book?

I read this book in middle school when I was perusing through my school's library and if I remember correctly, the book looked to be about 10 to 20 years in publication.

It was loosely based on Cinderella, but set in modern times. And the main character could go between "dimensions" of modern and fantasy through a well. Her father dies of a heart attack. And I vaguely remember the story involving a dance, limo, famous popstar.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'd be very grateful if anyone could help me!
