When buying a home computer, why shouldn't I buy a more

I go for more because I do not want crashes, blue screen, or a slow computer. I have two computers, my desk top and my laptop. Both have duel cpu, the better graphic card, a good sound card and good memory, my Desk top has 2GB Memory and my Laptop had 4GB memory. My Desk top runs Vista and my new laptop runs Windows7. I have never had a problem with Vista as other people complain about. The Windows7 is new to me since I have only had it since January, but I have had no problems with it. Windows7 is really Vista with many improvements, same engine for both.

I never go to a store, like Best Buy to buy a new computer. Retail computers are all made based on price. Even your high end computers are going to have something that is less in the computer to bring the price lower. I always go to the web sites of www.dell.com, www.hp.com ot to www.gateway.com

I pick the computer that looks the best for me and then I push the cusamize button and add what I want extra on the computer, like a better sound card, or graphic card or more memory or a higher cpu. Also I get a large hard drive. more than I will need. Once I have done that I then review everything and what that price would be, if it is to much I will then cut back on some of my upgrades that I choose. Once satisfied with what I have picked I then order that computer and wait for it to be made to my specs. and to be delivered to my door. My Desk top is a Gateway and my laptop is a HP. I have not had any problems with either. This new lap top is starting to be my main computer.

What I do on my computers are word processing, Excell., check book, watch TV shows, e mail, I pay all my bills on the internet, games, read the news paper, facebook, and internet searches. I hope this helps you choose what computer you need.

I here and read all the time about people complaining about how bad Vista is, and it is no good. I have never understand that, maby some day some one can explain it to me. Like I said I have Vista on the desk top and my Stepson also has Vista on his Desktop and neither one of us have never had a problem with it. Makes me think it is the computers of these people that do not have enough memory or something else and not Vista. Another good reason to by more than you will need. In fact when I had XP on a older computer I had more crashes than any other OS I have owned.
