What exactly is a Netbook? And a couple other questions . .
If you buy a net book for all the things that your sister wants to do, I am afraid you will be wasting your money. It is a small laptop computer, it has limited memory, limited hard disk space, (That you would need for pictures) It has a small processor. You could not do photo editing on it very well. You have no CD drawer so you could not buy the programs that she needs and install them. It has a small screen.

A net book is made for a person to be able to go on the internet, search things, and for there e mail accounts. Anything past that isn't recomended. If you try to do all the things that she needs to do with it, you are going to be very disapointed and is it going to crash alot. Not the fault of the computer, it just isn't made for all the normal things that you do with a regular computer.

She could get a media laptop computer that would do all the things that she needs to do and more for about $700.00 dollars up. Go to www.hp.com there you will see many laptops that you can start basic and then add the nessary things like a large hard drive so you have room for pictiures, a good graphic card for photo editing, it will come with word, excell, on the computer so she can do word processing. You could also watch streaming video with no problems. It would also have a CD/DVD drawer so you could use these items in case you want to buy programs for the laptop. For all the things that she need it for, please don't waste your money on a net book. If you can't afford more that three hundred dollars, then HP has a credit card that you can apply for to pay for it, no intrest for 6 months on there card. You can order it on line or call there number and a person will talk you through the complete process and will make sure you have everything you need to have a computer that will get the job done. Good Luck, Please take my advise, I don't want to see you loose your hard earned money, and to have a good experience with a computer not a bad one. And again I say if you do it isn't the computers fault. I am using a HP Laptop right now model DV7, I love it. My poor desk top is just siting here, I use this all the time now. ybarra-cgm.com
