How much difference is there between what they sell as a LCD
I use a 32" Sony Bravia LCD as a monitor for one of my computers. It’s pretty cool. The main difference is a TV doesn’t have the same flexibility as an LCD computer monitor. You have to set your computer’s display to one of the frequencies that the TV can handle, while computer monitors usually have a wider range of selections. copyright ybarra-cgm

My 720p Sony can handle 640x480, 800x600 1024x768, 1280x768, or 1360x768. My wife’s 1080 Samsung can handle all these resolutions plus 1080x1920. The Sony has a picture-in-picture function that lets you watch TV in a little box while you’re working on the computer. You don’t hear the computer sounds, only the TV sounds, but that’s cool too!

Computer monitors will resize the picture to fill the screen while the TVs may not. But if you’re thinking of getting a big screen monitor for your computer, you might think of getting a TV rather than a stand-alone computer monitor.
