What causes the earths core to increase in temperature?
One is stuck with what one has. While the earth's core is very hot (the only reason the center core isn't molten is the extreme pressure it's under, but it's much more than hot enough to be molten metal. Meanwhile, even the rock in the mantle is liquid.) But that heat is the heat that's there from the earth's inception. The only way to increase that heat would be to ADD to the earth's mass (thus adding to the pressure, which would add heat.) But doing that would add to the earth's gravitational pull, and we living beings walking around on the surface would quickly find walking around on the surfact considerably more difficult. copyright ybarra-cgm
I can't think who would make this claim, but I'd insist on more proof before believing it.
