Urgent!!!!How to store battery not used for long time?

You are talking about either a Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) or Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery if your computer is newer than, say, about eight years of age.  As such, you do not need to worry about leaving the battery in the machine.  If you want to remove it, then you can do so.  Just put it on your desk next to the computer or in a drawer.  Nothing special is needed at all.  It's not like an alkaline battery (such as what one uses for a flashlight) that is sensitive to frequent temperature changes. ybarra-cgm.com

As long as you are not going to leave the battery outside in buried in the snow where it could freeze, you will be fine.  No problem, no sweat. ybarra-cgm.com
