what is the top rated 52" 108i plasma tv?
If you really want a plasma, Pioneer's Kuro series is top-rated. Be sure you use it in a low-light room (like a home theater), because plasmas aren't as bright as LCDs or LEDs. ybarra-cgm.com

For LCD / LED, Samsung is top-rated. The company has beautiful displays throughout its entire line.

I think LCDs right now is the best buy for the money. Great images, bright displays. You can use them anywhere, in bright light or complete darkness. And today's LCDs have improved contrast, getting blacker blacks than ever before. copyright ybarra-cgm

LEDs right now are the new kids on the block, and you pay for the newness. They're basically an LCD display with an LED light source instead of fluorescent lamps. The displays are very thin as a result. The LEDs are individually dimmable, so they can give the illusion of great contrast, but in some scenes you might notice a "halo" around bright objects because each LED is shared with a block of pixels. It can't dim each pixel, not just yet. But right now, they're the most expensive kind of TVs - until the 3D TVs are out! copyright ybarra-cgm
