Who invented the rubik cube?
The Rubik's cube is a 3-D mechanical puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor and architecture Erno Rubik. Originally called the Magic Cube, it was licensed to be sold commercially in 1980, and won the Best Game of the Year award. In a classic Rubik's cube, each face is covered by 9 stickers, among six solid colors. A pivot mechanism allows each face to turn independently, mixing up the colors. For the puzzle to be solved each face must have the same solid color. Rubik's cubes have been the source of much entertainment and competition! If it tickles your fancy pick one up from a nearby store and get ready for hours of intellectual stimulation! copyright ybarra-cgm
