Although I've never actively explored this feature on my Nintendo DS, I do know that many of the games that go with it have an option for left-handed play in the setting menu. Unfortunately this only extends to gameplay on the DS's touch screen, but it could very well be enough to sate you left-handed portable gaming fix.
