What has been her temperature this week and what day is she on (need to know how many days in she is)? Usually it's a drop to around 98 and there should be pups within 24 hours (usually sooner) or it can/does indicate a problem. Every once in awhile you get one that doesn't know what their normal temp. Is supposed to be though and evaluating distress and labor can be more difficult. Is her temperature usually higher in normal ranges (around 101.9 or so) and dropped earlier in the week, or a couple of days ago or is it lower normally? How long has she been producing colostrum? Has she been close to the 98 and was there a specific point that you know it dropped and there just aren't any pups yet? Lost her mucus plug or any abnormal discharge or her water break? I saw you've been in contact (thank you :-) but would like to know if your vet is more of a repro vet (and Dane and other giant breed vet) and isn't necessarily specialized/experienced in reproduction as it can make a difference and sometimes you need to help (or tell) them. Did you do your last prenatal visual (x-ray or ultrasound) and you have a good idea of how many and how big and all, do you know what day you did that on? How many are there (prone to inertia and fewer or one small pup can be a factor)? Is she acting differently at all, weird, off (signs of early labor or distress at all and can sometimes be interchangeable if there is a problem before pups even begin to arrive). Okay, enough questions for now.
