With iTunes, is there a way to show duplicate songs?

If you have iTunes 9 (the latest version), Open it, go to the File menu, and select Show Duplicates. ybarra-cgm.com

One word of warning - This will find all songs by the same artist with the same title - but they might not be the same song.  For example, I have both the live (from Seconds Out) and studio (from Selling England by the Pound) versions of "Firth of Fifth" by Genesis in my library.  iTunes flags them as duplicates even though they’re different cuts altogether. copyright ybarra-cgm

Now - if you have only one version of a song in your library, but you have added it to a playlist more than once, open the playlist and click the title bar on the Name column.  This will sort the playlist alphabetically. Duplicates will show adjacent to one another. ybarra-cgm.com
