I wouldn't, The dog is still a pup. I have been down this road before. Pups can't always hold their blatters and usually leave you a chocolate surprise when you come home. I would buy a crate that is the correct size for the dog so it can stand up and move around some what. Usually dogs will lay around and sleep when their owners our gone, atleast mine dogs do. However if you give them free reign of the house they might chew shoes, furniture, and god knows what else. Not a good idea for a pup. But once the dog gets a little older (1 year plus) you could start to try to give it some more freedoms, eventually you should be able to leave the dog out to roam free. A dog will make mistake just try to refrain from physically disciplining your dog, they don't forget it and sometime they will cower even if you are just trying to pet them down the road.
