How many times has your phone service/landline been cut off this year...

Just once this year back in February when high winds and storms took us out for almost 2 days.But the phone company were criticised for being so slow and having equipment easily cut-off, that they invested in new technology, landline wires and call-out responses which seems to have worked.But it's ridiculous that it takes something like that to get an improvement in services.

John,  When I lived in MI, we once had a power outage that lasted 1 Week.  It was miserable.  We kept the fireplace going to put some heat in the house and slept in sleeping bags in the livingroom.  I cooked in the fireplace, got pretty good, but I had cast iron pans.
Now I'm in AZ, sunny AZ!  Never had an outage in years.  But, of course, there's a price--the DRY heat.  It really gets hot.
