There is no way to know what sort of complications they may have had without knowing a lot of other things. How old are they? Did they seem ill or off? Are you taking them to the vet? Do you have a cavy vet? You would want one for breeding and if they miscarried they should see the vet in case of infection or other complication. They can have a lot of complications with pregnancy and birth and have a pretty high mortality rate (the sows) considering.
